SAT June -13
BikeSTRONG Metric benefitting the Lance Armstrong Foundation -Evergreen Lake

Hey Wheelers!  Listen up!  As you know, for the past several years the Wheelers have teamed with the Red Cross to put on the Ride & Stride.  The Red Cross has decided to go in a different direction with its fundraising. So, the Wheelers decided to find a new partner and its an exciting one.  We are going to put on the McLean County Wheeler's BikeSTRONG Metric to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 13 at McLean County Comlara Park.

What better partnership could there be than a bike club and the cancer-fighting organization started by cancer survivor and 7-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong?   The money from registration will go to the bike club and LAF.  LAF will also solicit donations that will go directly to effort to find a cure for cancer.

Registration starts at 6:30 a.m.   The ride offers three loops in and around the lovely Mackinaw River valley.  Each course starts and ends at the park so participants may ride distances of 20-, 40-, or 60 miles.  Cost is $25, including SAG, refreshments and lunch afterward. Additional donations to the Lance Armstrong Foundation are accepted. A $12 T-shirt is optional.
Directions: From Interstate 39, go to the Lake Bloomington Road exit north of Normal, turn west two miles to park entrance.  Google Earth location is 40°38'27.99"N, 89° 1'55.41"W.
Register early by sending a check to

the McLean County Wheelers at
P.O. Box 947. Bloomington, IL 61702-0947

We are going to need help before, during and after the event.
