The League of Illinois Bicyclists is again sponsoring the Illinois
National Bicycle Month License Plate Program.
We are in need of your help to improve cycling in Illinois.
This year we are working a getting a permanent SHARE THE ROAD license
plate for Illinois and are surveying our plate holders. We must get a
minimum of 850 firm commitments for this to happen.
ALL NET PROCEEDS GO TO SUPPORT IMPROVING BICYCLING IN ILLINOIS.

Police and sheriff departments throughout Illinois have been sent new resources to educate and enforce the sharing of our roads. LIB’s “Safe Roads for Bicycling” grant from IDOT funded police training courses by LIB and a mailing with the following contents (also available at www.bikelib.org/enforcement):
· Samples of a traffic violation warning pamphlet to educate either motorists or cyclists
· A poster highlighting motorist and cyclist “Danger Zones” and enforcement tips
· LIB’s updated Illinois bike law cards (quantities available from LIB)
