Light the Night
The fourth annual Light the Night event in Uptown Normal will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 5pm-8pm and features safety-checks, giveaways, and free bike lights for everyone. Any bike without lights gets a free front and rear LED light. Connect-Transit will be on hand offering hands-on demonstrations of their front loading bike racks.
Bike Co-op in West Bloomington
The West Bloomington Revitalization Project and its Tool Library have moved across Washington Street and opened a Bike Co-op in the same building. The new space is located at 724 W. Washington on the southwest corner of Washington and Allin streets [map it]. You can now take your bike in and learn how to repair it. They have tools and volunteer mechanics who are excited to walk you through everything step-by-step. And the cost is just $6.00 for a full day!
