Saturday, August 18 – No Baloney Ride

No+baloney signThe No Baloney Bicycle Ride returns for its 45th year on August 18th, 2018.  This year’s ride will depart and return from a new location – Morton’s Kennel Lake Sportsmen’s Club.  Situated just outside of Morton, this location offers great access to country roads while remaining close to I-74 and Highway 155 for those traveling to join us. Similar to previous years, the event will include route distances of approximately 20, 45, 62, and 100 miles. <Registration link and more details>

Saturday, August 25 – 40th Annual Wabash River RideWRCC

Looking for something a little farther?  The 40th Annual Wabash River Ride will be held on August 25, 2017 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Join us for well organized and supported rides of 34, 47, 65 or 107 miles through some of the most beautiful parts of Tippecanoe, Fountain and Warren counties in Indiana.  We’ll continue our renowned tradition of home baked cookies from our club members, and have a real good barbecue lunch planned for you when you finish the ride.  Start & finish is at Fort Oiuatenon, IN near West Lafayette.  Get details & registration info here.

Toluca reclaimed mine areaSeptember 1 — 2nd annual Lehr Hemenway Memorial Bike Ride

Lehr was an avid cyclist, bike shop owner (Bloomington Cycle and Fitness), community member and general purveyor of good time rides! Lehr lost his battle with cancer in 2016. The proceeds from this years ride will support the construction of a bike path at the Toluca Jumbo. Ride routes still TBD. Updates at Toluca Coal Mine Association Facebook page.  Last years ride hosted an 8 mile and a 25 mile supported route.  Registration is on site only and will be $20/adult and $10/child and includes an event t-shirt.   The ride aligns with the Toluca Labor Day Celebration and is the home of the famous Mona’s and Capponi’s Italian restaurants!

September 15 – Bike BloNo’s 5th Annual Tour de Taco

Tour de Taco logoTour de Taco is a social bicycling event that involves groups of cyclists riding to locally owned restaurants to eat tacos! The goals of the event are to build the confidence of cyclists riding around town, promote safe and responsible riding, increase the visibility of cyclists following the rules of the road, and support local businesses. Proceeds from the event will go towards Bike BloNo’s advocacy efforts, which are focused on safety and expansion of on-street bike routes in the community.

Tour de Taco will be on Saturday, Sept 15, 2018. Riders will visit 6-8 restaurants and food trucks depending on the pod they choose. Helmets are required, lights are recommended. The event will kick off with check-in beginning at 10:00 am, announcements at 11:00 am, departure around 11:15am. We’ll ride until around 3:00-4:00 pm depending on which pod you choose. There will also be an after party beginning around 4:30pm.  Registration and more details

Meet in the Middle — Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018 (Rain date Sept. 29)

Ride to the Depot  — Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018
