Springfield Bicycle Club’s 2022 Sangamon Cycling Series — Starts in May
Rides on their calendar, but registration is not yet open. The Sangamon Cycling Series is a series of four cycling events that will take place from May to August. Each event will start from a Sangamon County park, and will offer a choice of 4 distances. These rides are self-supported, but there will be ride leaders designated on the first Saturday and last Sunday for the two shorter distances and for various speed levels. Parklands Foundation 5th Annual Bike Ride — July 9, 2022
Supported out-and-back rides of varying lengths depart Lexington, IL and follow the Mackinaw River Valley to highlight the areas unique landscape, including several ParkLands preserves. Registration and details at https://www.parklandsfoundation.org/bikeride/
Terry Anastas Ultimate Ride — July 9, 2022 in Quincy
2nd annual event held in honor and memory of Terry Anastas who was an avid cyclist, handball player and community activist. Terry tragically and unexpectedly passed in early 2020. The event features several ride options: 7-mile family friendly, 12-mile route (Poker Run), Mountain Bike, 65-mile/Metric Century, Tricycle Ride and 5k Walk.Registration, maps, and more details at:

RideATAXIA Chicago — Sunday, July 10, 2022
Location: Channahon Central Park, Channahon, IL
Brief Description: 1, 4, 12, and 27, route options. The 12 mile is on the I&M Canal Trail. Fully stocked rest stops, strong SAG support, and delicious post ride lunch. Fundraising benefits the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA). Fundraising is not required but strongly encouraged. Registration Fee: $45 Regular Priced Cyclist (No Fundraising Minimum) or $25 Reduced Price Cyclist (With $200 Fundraising Minimum).
Scenic Shore 150 – July 23-24, 2022
Join The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on July 23-24th for the 30th annual Scenic Shore 150, a two-day, 150-mile fully-supported cycling event open to all riders. Starting in Mequon, cyclists ride the beautiful shoreline of Lake Michigan to Manitowoc and continue to Sturgeon, while pedaling in support of a cure for blood cancer.
