Parklands Foundation 4th Annual Bike Ride — July 10, 2021
Save the date for our most popular event! Supported out-and-back rides of varying lengths depart Lexington, IL and follow the Mackinaw River Valley to highlight the areas unique landscape, including several ParkLands preserves. Terry Anastas Ultimate Ride – July 10, 2021 in Quincy, IL
2nd annual ride held in honor and memory of Terry Anastas. Terry was an avid cyclist, handball player and community activist. Terry tragically and unexpectedly passed in early 2020. This event is a way to honor and remember Terry and everything he did, contributed to and stood for. The event will feature ride options of 7, 12, and 65 miles; and a mountain bike route. Springfield Bicycle Club’s May – August 2021 Sangamon Cycling Series
The Sangamon Cycling Series is a series of four cycling events that will take place from May to August. Each event will start from a Sangamon County park, and will offer a choice of 4 distances. These rides are self-supported, but there will be ride leaders designated on the first Saturday and last Sunday for the two shorter distances and for various speed levels. Check the Ride Schedule page for more information. The fee for this event is $22. All participants will receive a Springfield Bicycle Club t-shirt after the final ride of the series.
