44th Annual Wheeler Spring Metric

Online registration is now closed.

You can register onsite beginning at 6:30 a.m. tomorrow!

Roadwork: There is roadwork on the PJ Keller Highway between the Gridley Blacktop and the dam at the NW corner of Lake Bloomington. This affects Route 1 (1.5 miles) & Route 3 (0.25 miles). As of Thursday, this section of road was milled, grooved and oiled. The surface was flat, hard and not sticky.

Three 21 to 23 mile routes and the 5-mile family route all start and end at McLean County’s Comlara Park Spruce Shelter parking area. If you ride all three, you will have completed a Metric Century of at least 100 km (more than 63 miles).

All routes and route markings are tentative until the day of the ride. Routes are marked with three white arrows spray painted on the road: one approximately 100 feet before a turn, at the turn, and then a confirmation arrow after a turn.

New this year, there will be a water stop at North Park on the north shore of Lake Bloomington where all three routes converge.

Below are the Ride with GPS navigation files that can be sent to your device and links to printable route maps. Note that routes are slightly longer this year because we were moved further into the park to the Sam Leman shelter near the boat launch and swimming area. The GPS links show the new start.
