The Wheeler’s Spring Metric offers three routes of about 20 miles each. Each one begins and ends at a well-stocked rest stop at McLean County’s Comlara Park, home of beautiful Evergreen Lake. Riders can choose to ride 20, 40, 60 miles (Metric Century) or the 5 mile Family Route.

Location: Comlara Park is located about eight miles north of Normal. Take Interstate 39 to exit 8 at Lake Bloomington Road. Travel west two miles to the park entrance.

Times: On-site registration begins at 6:30 a.m. All riders need to be on the road no later than 10:30 a.m. Family Route begins at 10 a.m. Lunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

WBRP+Bike+Coop 2Proceeds benefit nfp organizations that promote safe cycling for transportation, health and fitness, and fun. In 2018, supporting donations were made to the WBRP Bike Co-op, Ride of Silence, Bike BloNo, and Ride Illinois. Remaining proceeds from the Metric partially support insurance for organized rides and communication expenses to publicize cycling-related activities.

Training: Want some help getting in shape for the riding season? Join our Spring Training Rides beginning Tuesday, April 30. See 2019 Training Ride Brochure for dates, times, locations, and distances.
